ISM—NE has renamed their scholarship program as the “Debra Smithers Excellence in Business”. This is a tribute to Debra Smithers, who passed away in June of 2012, after 15 years of dedicated service to ISM—NE as our Business Manager.

For 2022, two scholarships of $1,000 each will be awarded to college students seeking an Associate, Bachelor or Master, Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management/Logistics/Contract Management/Acquisitions/Negotiations and degree programs at accredited 2-year or 4-year institutions of higher education in Nebraska and must be a Nebraska resident.

To date, we will have awarded over $60,000 to students since the program’s inception in 2000.  Show your support for our next generation of supply managers and business leaders by participating in one of the ISM—NE Golf Outings that support this program, in either Omaha or Grand Island!
